On the evening of the 13th of Mara, Etkia instructed sympathising members of the Military to rise up against any Governors who had not yet sworn fealty to him.

Lupir Noctoren
Governor Lupir Noctoren led a raid, along with Captain Gaisa Arpieux of the CIGG, to set up a repeating broadcast from the Central Broadcasting Centre on the 13th of Mara, 247. After successfully doing so, they were cut off from the rest of the CIRAF, fighting elsewhere in Cagne City, and were forced into the streets in an attempt to meet up with another group of CIRAF soldiers coming to support them. However, it became clear that they were not going to make it, and chose to surrender to the Rebel forces surrounding them. The self-proclaimed leader of the group, Rewill Torra, brutally killed Captain Arpieux, and Noctoren & the remaining CIGG Soldiers were sent to Lakal, where Noctoren was tortured for 4 days before finally being killed.
Gaisa Arpieux
Captain Gaisa Arpieux of the Cagne Island Gubernatorial Guard led a mission with Governor Lupir Noctoren to set up a repeating broadcast from the Central Broadcasting Centre late in the night of the 13th of Mara. Cut off from the rest of the CIRAF in Cagne City, Noctoren, Arpieux, and the CIGG attempted to fight their way back to CIRAF lines, but were cut off around 11:00. What remained of the Unit surrendered around 11:45, and Arpieux was killed about 15 minutes later, around 12:00 on the 14th of Mara, 247, by Etkian "Commander" Rewill Torra, who had a bound Arpieux separated from the remainder of the captured CIGG forces, held in front of him in order to shoot Arpieux in both knees, then had him forced facedown onto the ground, where Torra shot him twice more, killing him.
