After the Smelly Cabbage Incident, and the subsequent Balkavanian Resettlement of the EotLP, Emperor Ren officially retained the provincial boundaries set in place by the [[Cagne Duchy]] over its former territory, but did not set up new Provincial boundaries for the area the EotLP conquered until more than a year later, once people had begun to properly settle in, and population, industrial, and agricultural trends became more visible. It was organised into 30 regions, and 3 special administration districts.

After the [[270 Rennian Coup|270 Coup]] and the ensuing Constitutional Reform, the Province of Cagne Island was split into Cagne Proper, Cagne Rural, and Lakal. In addition, all 3 Special Administration Districts were eradicated, and the Provinces of North & South Rennian Krjstendodjl were formed out of the Rennian Post-War Krjstendodi Colony, bringing the Rennian Republic to a new total of 34 Provinces.
