== Operational History ==
The ''Meleny'' performed only ceremonial & observational roles during her initial years of service, during which the EotLP had no official enemies. During the Smelly Cabbage evacuation, the ''Meleny'' was fully loaded with refugees, whom she carried for the full year at sea. She participated in the shelling of the Balkavanian Coastline that helped to clear the way for the EotLP to resettle in the Balkavanians. Once the resettlement was complete, her operational area was transferred to the northern Lonac Zaljev, where the EotLP had a small amount of coastline. The ''Meleny'' became the flagship of what was called the "Northern Fleet." The Northern Fleet was, in reality, just a small flotilla of 5 ships for a long time, though.

The ''Meleny'' fired the first official shots of the Third Balkavanian War.
