Formula Lego Career

Logan Latifi is not remembered as the greatest Formula Lego Driver of all time. But interestingly enough, he held one of the most prestigous records of all time until Season 12, when Eva Sayll (already established as one of the greats) tied it. Logan first entered the sport in Season 01, with Octan, racing with the number 26-06. A decent first few seasons (70 points in S01, 50 in S02), led him to have his contract with Octan extended for Season 03. However, coming off of two relatively strong years, he had a pointless run in S03, peaking in P20 at Race 03. Octan, now at what would later be realised to be the end of their string of dominant seasons, decided to let him go for S04. Latifi left Octan with 3 Constructors' Titles, 150 career points, and a 9th place finish at S01R04.

His time in Formula Lego was not to be ended yet, though, as he was contracted with Osborne, racing with the number 26-18. His initial tour with the team that was beginning a legendary run was dissapointing, failing to score a single time. He scored 20 points in Season 05, breaking out of his scoreless streak, and then finally hit a groove in the chaotic Season 06, scoring a P5 finish at Race 02 & 03, finishing 11th overall in the standings, and scoring 160 points. Season 06 would be his best season ever. Season 07 saw another point-less campaign, once again having a season best of P20, and DNF-ing at Race 04. His contract with Osborne would not be renewed, and he left the team after 4 seasons with them. He left Osborne with 4 more Constructors' Titles, 160 more career points, and two 5th place finishes.

With a decent track record, and above-average pace, Logan found himself with an offer from Jenny Spalding's National Team to race with them for Season 08, with the standard National Contract. That included the stipulation that they would only renew his contract if he finished in the top 1/2 of National's Drivers. He would race with the number 26-41. After Kyle Giovinazzi did it in Season 04, Logan Latifi became the second racer to race for all three original teams. Logan failed to score in the top 1/2 of National's Drivers, and was not kept on for Season 09. Thus, rather sadly, ended the carreer of one of the most interesting Formula Lego Racers.

As with all Season 01 - 03 Octan Drivers, Logan scored 3 Constructors' Titles, but he was the only one who moved to Osborne for Season 04, and thus managed to score another Constructor's Title. He became the first driver to score 4, then 5, 6, and 7 Constructors' Titles, even while most often contributing little, or nothing to the teams' effort. His record of 7 Constructors' Titles stood for 5 years, until Eva Sayll, who had been his teammate at Octan from Season 01 - 03, scored her 4th consecutive title with National, and tied Logan's 7-Title record. Avayah Osborne & Josep Vikalkin would both also then tie the record in Season 14, and finally pass it, winning their 8th Constructors' Title (with 3 Drivers' Titles between them) in Season 15. Logan's unique record may be little more than a dash of good luck, but his consistency (7 Constructors' Titles in 8 Seasons), and record streak (No other driver has won 7 consecutive Constructors' Titles) speak to a much better driver than results ever showed.

Latifi is notable for having raced on the Constructor's Title-winning Team for the first 7 years of his career, the longest streak of all time, and the record for the most Constructor's Title victories by a driver, which he held from Season 7 until Season 15. Eva Sayll tied his record in Season 12, and Josep Vikalkin & Avayah Osborne tied it in Season 14. The two Fire drivers would then pass it the following season. Despite this impressive feat, a closer analysis of the details reveals that he did almost everything except contribute to the cause. Across his 8 campaigns, he scored a grand total of -3 Constructor's Points, peaking in Season 6 with +2 points, arguably the season that Osborne needed his help the least.
