Osborne Family

The Osborne Family is a billionaire celebrity Family, who operated in Commercial, Technological, Legal, and Political Circles, primarily in the New Roman Republic, Empire of the Lego Plains, and United Commonwealth Republic of Rennia. They have often been described as an Oligarchical Family, or even as "Neo-Nobility"

The Osborne Family are the sole owners of the Osborne Group of Companies, the largest single Company in the Balkavanians, making the family as a whole the wealthiest group in the Archipelago, and giving them influence bordering on Governmental in both Rennia & the rest of the Archipelago.

Nina Osborne (147-176) was John Fel Osborne's first wife, and the mother of Michael Norman Osborne.

Sir Michael Norman Osborne, K.E. O.I.E (176-279), commonly known as "MNO" was by far the most influential single member of the Osborne Family, creating it in the modern sense. He was the patriarch of the family throughout the start of the Osborne GC empire, eventually formalising himself as the Family Archon through The Osborne Trust Compact.

Julia Osborne (née Yuvenis)

Julia Gaia Osborne (186-) was MNO's wife, and the mother of Sarah, Leo, Percy, and officially the mother of Avayah.

Second Generation

Sarah Osborne-Aster

Sarah Osborne-Aster (born 205), the eldest of Michael & Julia's Children, was by far the most like her father. While she never had the technical expertise her younger twin-brother, Leo, did, she was the backbone of the Osborne GC, marring the practical and theoretical aspects perfectly. She was known for her remarkable attention to detail, and her ability to know the smallest details of the company. Following her fathers semi-retirement, she was appointed the Chairperson of the Board of the Osborne GC, and was left exclusive control of the Company, although through The Osborne Trust Compact, Avayah & her descendants were granted equal access to the profits, and benefits of the company. As Sarah and Avayah remained very close their entire lives, this was not an issue in their lifetime, but the exact wording of The Osborne Trust Compact would become a major point of contention for future generations.

Percy Osborne

Perseus Osborne (209-228), Michael & Julia's third child, and second son, disappeared on the 28th of 223, during Victoria Ultima Feriae. At the time, MNO was deeply involved in New Roman Politics, and many people assumed that there were political motivations behind the 15-year-old's disappearance. In reality, he had been recruited by Roman Senator George Simia into the Roman Colony Loyalists (RCL Corps). He was stationed in the Campestrem Regionem Town of Balka from 223 until 228, following the fall of New Roman Rule in the CR, and formation of the EotLP (at the time still referred to as the Independent Nation of Campestrem). Percy was involved in the Legoian Prison Break, a major event in Ren’s Second Rebellion, where he was one of three loyalists killed in the firefight that ensued. His remains were identified using DNA sampling and returned to Nova Italia during the Fall of the New Roman Republic. He was originally buried in Legotown, Nova Italia, but during the Smelly Cabbage Incident, his remains were disinterred, and cremated. His ashes were then moved alongside the rest of the family, to the Balkavanians. His ashes currently rest in the Osborne Mausoleum at the Osborne Palace Complex in Pigne Province.

Avayah Osborne

Avayah Lenna Osborne was born Actaber 38th, 227.

Although officially, Avayah was Michael & Julia's fourth child, speculation, which was backed up by DNA evidence following both Michael & Julia's deaths, proved that Avayah was actually the only child of Leo & Maria Osborne. Due to Leo's poor mental state following the death of his wife during the Legoian Prison Break, Julia and Michael accepted responsibility for the infant Avayah, and following the death of Leo in 232, decided to continue the lie onwards.

Influence

Michael Osborne was, without a doubt, the most influential individual in New Roman Politics, rivalling the Consul, Lucius Rufus Brutus, for the extent of his influence and popularity. Despite massive Political Battles with Dracula Davis, from the very start the cards had been in Osborne's hands. However, although he was influential, he often chose not to hold official positions, to broaden what he was doing at any given point. Therefore, he was unavoidably unable to prevent the Fall of the New Roman Republic.

Family Leadership

The family being relatively small and irrelevant before the time of Michael Osborne, Michael is generally considered the first person to truly be the leader of the Osborne Family. Control of the family assets fell to his eldest daughter, Sarah Julia Osborne-Aster, via The Osborne Trust Compact.

As defined by The Compact, leadership of the family switched between the lineages of his surviving children (Sarah & Avayah) each generation. Therefore, following the death of Sarah Osborne-Aster, the leadership next went to the eldest member of the Third-Generation through Avayah, her son Aleksander Osborne. (Legal arguments were heard that the lineage should continue through Aurora Osborne Sanchez-Vikalkin, but she was both uninterested in the role, and not biologically a member of the lineage. However, an addendum to The Compact was passed by a vote amongst all other Third-Generation members of the family.

Initially, Michael was referred to by the media and colloquially as the "Family patriarch" however, following the formalisation of family leadership through The Compact, the term was de-gendered into being the "Family Archon", a role which first officially fell to Michael's Daughter, Sarah.
