Paertica
Paertica is one of Eldarfellsk's Seven Major Continents.
It sits on the PLATE NAME Tectonic Plate
Geography
Paertica is located atop two Volcanic Plumes, which have coalesced to form two broad, flat plains, on each side of a massive sharp Mountain Range, that remains to this day almost impossible to navigate. Within the Sharp Mountain Range, a Large, relatively flat Basin sits, called the Iseli Basin. the largest river on the continent, the Lisenne River, which runs through a long, narrow, high mountain canyon, across the Elevated Irin Plateau, and down onto the plain below, where it merges with another River before heading to the Ocean, on the outside of the Crater Ridges of the Grand Crater, a massive Impact Crater descending into the Northwestern coast.
Since the Smelly Cabbage Incident, the Iseli, Irin, Sinitola, and Grand Crater have all been made uninhabitable for a minimum of 5,000 years.
History
The Legoian Empire Dominated the Continent from Great Question times until the year 17, when the Legoian Civil War broke out, between as many as 7 various Generals and Leaders, all vying for control of the Empire. By 23, God-Emperor William I of Catlish had taken control of the Irin Plateau, Emperor Enmetar Ottenburg had taken control of the Eastern Edge of the Island, from the coast to the Grand Crater & Irin Plateau, and Empress Elyn Auliaria had taken control of the rest of the Continent. Sinitola gained its freedom in YEAR, and the Ottenburg was conquered by the EotBTH in 155.
Between 184-192, The Second Ottenburg Empire, New Roman Republic, Latian Republic, and Ben's Bed Republic all gained their independence through co-ordinated Effort
Mibc gained its independence post-204, during the collapse of the EotBTH
NRR conquered Sinitola (Nova Terra) during its final push for Independence in 192, the Grand Crater (Magnum Craterem Regionem), Garden Regions (Pissing off Smelly Cabbage), Scholar Region, and Irin Plateau (Campestrem Regionem).
Latian had a Civil War w/ the Spartans, who occupied Irin from 200 - 202, the Civil war itself lasted from 199 - 202
Irin/CR gained Independence after two wars of independence, in 227. Conquered Sinitola/Nova Terra in 228, NRR collapsed in 229, Absorbed into EotLP, alongside Magnum Craterum. Smelly Cabbage took control of Garden Regions, Scholar Regions somewhat ungoverned & semi-independent city, until 233, when EotLP re-asserted control over both, pushing Smelly Cabbage out, which resulted in the Smelly Cabbage Incident. Iseli, Irin, Sinitola, Grand Crater all nuked beyond recognition, unsafe to enter as a living creature for minimum 5,000 years.
