Julia Young

Julia Young was a Formula Lego Driver, who narrowly won the Season 10 Driver's Title while driving for Octan. She would later race for Mostafa.
She raced at Octan with the number 64-19, and at Mostafa with the number 64-1
Life before Formula Lego
Young was born in 229 in the fledgling EotLP, The younger sister of Jason and Peter Young, two of Michael Osborne's Aethernauts, who devoted much of their lives to science, and space. Julia spent quite a lot of time with her older brothers, and grew an interest in engineering from simply watching them at work. Another young girl who spent a lot of time at the Osborne Space Port was Avayah Osborne. The two were fast friends in youth, and Avayah managed to get Julia interested in racing. Julia found quite a bit of success in lower-level racing, and expressed aspirations to race professionally. Pushed hard by Michael, Avayah, and her Brothers, she also excelled at school, and began her University career at age 16, around the start of Season 2. With her connections to Osborne, as well as her performance record, it seemed a no-brainer that she would be signed with Osborne for Season 6, which would start just after her graduation from the University of Rennia. However, just under a month before the end of Season 5, rumours began to circulate that her and Avayah had fallen out in dramatic fashion, then, within a few weeks, Kai Octan announced that Julia would be racing with his team starting in Season 6.
Debut Season (Season 6)
Young's first season was not eye-catching by any stretch, as she finished outside of the point at half the races, and had a best finish of P9 at Race 5. However, she had some brilliant moments throughout the season, such as passing three drivers in a single corner at Race 3, or moving up 3 places on the final lap of Race 2. She finished P19 overall, and P6 within the team.
As with all Octan Drivers, she was initially signed on a two-year contract, so she was kept on for the next season.
Performance Increase (Seasons 7 - 9)
Season 7 saw Young's performance go on a major uptick, finishing in the top 7 at every race, and coming in P5 at Race 3, 5, and 6. Within Octan, the only driver to surpass Young was Lily Gasly, who narrowly missed finishing 2nd overall.
Season 8 was a rare dip in Young's performance, as she finished P13 overall, and P5 within the team, with a best finish of P9 at Race 4. However, her worst finish was still only P16, leaving a very condensed season.
Young performed admirably in Season 9, scoring a maiden win at the tragic Race 6, which everyone found hard to celebrate, despite the historic nature of her victory.
Championship (Season 10)
From the get-go, Julia showed her best in Season 10, scoring two victories, and a grand total of 6 podiums across the eight-race season. She led the standings for the first two races, but a sub-expectations P5 at Race 3 dropped her to a shared P2 in the constructors standings, with 180 points - the same as reigning champion Anna Aster. She remained in the top three, fighting for the top spot with Aster and Camilla Cyne, until the final race, when a First Place Finish secured her a maiden Driver's Title, much to the elation of the entire Octan Team. Young's prowess really showed all throughout the season, as the Octan was solidly the 3rd fastest car overall, but she still managed to squeeze her way to a gorgeous title.
Post Championship Struggles (Seasons 11 - 13)
Immediately after winning the most prestigious Motorsport Title, Julia Young found herself struggling more than she had before, even though the Season 11 Octan was much more competitive overall. In the very first race, Young found herself outpaced by rookie and teammate Adrienne De Leon. She found herself in that position once again in Race 2, when De Leon won, but Young could not manage higher than P3. However, Young's chance to shine came later on in the season, in Eîy-Hoketleri, for Race 7, when she led the pack home to her fourth victory. With three DNFs across the season, Young finished only P9 overall, a far cry from the title she had hoped to successfully defend, and was beaten by two teammates; De Leon and Diana Perko.
Even though the Season 12 Octan was the closest to the front it had been since Season 4, Young continued to struggle to reach the car's full potential, something that Perko and De Leon seemed to have much less issues with, as the two of them went on to Podium 3 and 9 times across the season respectively, with De Leon taking 4 victories, and coming close to winning the title once again. Young found a win in the season once again, but even the elation of her Race 10, Jutvyrda win couldn't counter the huge point gap she faced to her teammates, and it was the only time she saw the podium all season. She finished P5 overall, a respectable finish, but 135 points away from Perko, and 275 points off of De Leon, and a whopping 290 points off of Title winner Aleks Rosya.
With Season 13 came a new set of Challenges, as Octan fell off not the pace, but the reliability curve, and found their operating window smaller than ever. This narrowing operating window also did not work with Young's skillset well, with the car not only needing much more handling than she liked, but also prioritizing corner exit speed (to work with the Octan's straight-line speed advantage), where Julia worked best with high entry speeds. Although her teammates provided relative highs across the season, with Adrienne De Leon winning Race 5, and finishing P7 overall, with Diana Perko close to her in P11, Young finished a Season-best of P11 in Race 3, finished outside the points at 4 races, and suffered 4 DNFs across the season. After Race 6, Octan announced it would not be renewing Young's Contract, which was countered by an announcement from new team Mostafa that she would be joining their team. After Race 11, it was announced that fellow Driver's Title Champion Eva Sayll would be joining her, and after the season concluded, Mostafa manager Nikola Veruci announced that the two would be joined by Rookie Avans Drone.
