SRS Agaré Meleny
The SRS Agaré Meleny was a Meleny-Class Savara Battlecruiser in the Rennian Navy, built in 234, which entered service in 235. She was named after Resistance Colonel Agaré Meleny, who sacrificed his life in a suicide battle that crippled the Roman 70th Avenging Unit. The Agaré Meleny played a major part in the Smelly Cabbage Evacuation. Once resettlement in the Balkavanians was complete, it was redeployed to the north of the EotLP, in the Lonac Zaljev, where it became the Flagship of the Northern Fleet. It performed several major roles throughout the Third Balkavanian War.
Operational History
The Meleny performed only ceremonial & observational roles during her initial years of service, during which the EotLP had no official enemies. During the Smelly Cabbage evacuation, the Meleny was fully loaded with refugees, whom she carried for the full year at sea. She participated in the shelling of the Balkavanian Coastline that helped to clear the way for the EotLP to resettle in the Balkavanians. Once the resettlement was complete, her operational area was transferred to the northern Lonac Zaljev, where the EotLP had a small amount of coastline. The Meleny became the flagship of what was called the "Northern Fleet." The Northern Fleet was, in reality, just a small flotilla of 5 ships for a long time, though.
Third Balkavanian War
The Meleny fired the first official shots of the Third Balkavanian War. After the Death Corps' failed Invasion of Rennia, Rennian General Tiberius Rex gave the Meleny's Captain, Rear Admiral Mía Di Knasto, permission to fire upon the Allkiterrayid.
