The first season after a major rules reset, Season 13 saw the pecking order through Formula Lego shuffled greatly, and saw a 10th different driver lift the Driver's Title Trophy, and a 4th Team take the Constructor's Title.
Driver Changes
Between Seasons 12 and 13, The Formula Lego Commission announced a rule change that had been in the works for several seasons: the introduction of backup drivers. Each team was required to sign and register two drivers to fill in for their main drivers in the event of an injury or other reason that a driver couldn't participate in a race. Drivers racing on the grid were allowed to sign as reserve drivers for another team than they were signed to, provided that the two teams could also reach an agreement over their contract. A driver could also be registered as the backup for several teams, provided the teams involved had contingency plans for if that backup driver had more than commitment on any one weekend.
Octan kept their main Line-up of Adrienne De Leon, Diana Perko, and Julia Young. However, they picked Ilyn Laham (The EotLP Sr. Karting Series Champion, as well as an ACAE Support Driver) and Anon Cino as their Backup Drivers.
National, too, kept their main roster unchanged, with Aleks Rosya, Anna Aster, and Eva Sayll. They chose to pick their backup drivers from within the racing grid, signing Diego Gonzalez (signed with Erit for S13) and Konstantin Bosko (Signed with Tikam-Halbeck for S13) as their Reserve Drivers.
Fire kept Camilla Cyne and Josep Vikalkin for S13, but signed Avayah Osborne, who had only just got out of the team that bore her name for 12 Seasons, and had impressed in a 2-race stand-in for Windsor. They also chose to sign within the grid for their Partner Drivers, picking up former Fire Racer Ariadne Stryke, who had just been re-signed with Windsor for a second season, as well as Sofia Deitsch, who had impressed at Tikam in her rookie season, and had been signed with ACAE for her Sophomore year in FL.
Of Quantos' S12 Drivers, Milena Markovic and Adrjana Gutnik were both signed to other teams for S13, Windsor and Dragon, respectively. Kaz Gacesa remained with the team for a second season, and the team picked up Muqyabzal Svetak and Veliki Osoba to fill their Ranks. For their Reserve Drivers, they hired the Brojar siblings, Romil and Zora, who were - respectively - the reigning champions in the Ckserolvan Sr. & Jr. Karting Series.
Angel kept the roster that they had ended (but not started) S12 with: Aurora Kryze, Jakov Franjic, and Ella Fader. For their Alternate Drivers, they chose to sign Evacio Torra (who was also an ACAE Support Driver), and Arid Mahles, who had won the Cklserolvan Sr. Karting Series the year that coincided with Formula Lego S11, and fulfilled the Stand-in Driver Role for T-H as well.
Erit kept on Diego Gonzalez, but signed rookies Zimas Vilkas and Pas Mali as their Substitute Drivers, they also hired the Brojar siblings, sharing reserve drivers with Quantos, as the only other Cklserolvan team on the Grid.
Windsor kept on Zarya Ilic and Ariadne Stryke (who was also Fire's Backup Driver), and hired Milena Markovic to fill their third position. They signed Sofia Deitsch as an Auxiliary Driver (who was also signed to Fire for the same role), as well as reigning EotLP Jr. Karting Series' Champion, and Dragon Injury Driver Avans Drone.
ACAE kept Ani Novak and Aca Larsen for a second season, and hired Sofia Deitsch (who fulfilled backup roles for two other teams) to replace Jakaya Katrik. As Support Driver, they hired Evacio Torra (who filled the same responsibilities at Angel) and Ilyn Laham (The EotLP Sr. Karting Series Champion, and an Octan Backup Driver).
Tikam-Halbeck kept Konstantin Bosko on for a second season (where he also filled the Reserve Driver role for National), and hired Daniil West, who had one season's worth of experience with Osborne in S11, and Sarah Aither, who had a year at each Erit and Osborne. As their Stand-in Drivers, they hired Arid Mahles (a former Cklserolvan Sr. Karting Series Champion, as well Angel's Alternate Driver), and Visna Ederg.
The only new team of the season, Dragon Racing, hired Adrjana Gutnik from Quantos, Sarah Martins, who had been dropped by Fire, and Rookie Kravjs Mileny. As their Injury Drivers, Dragon hired reigning EotLP Jr. Karting Series' Champion Avans Drone, who filled the same role at Windsor, as well as their own highly internally rated future prospect, Dino Pisto.

Sporting Regulation Changes
For Season 13, the introduction of Backup Drivers (or whatever each team decided to refer to them as) was the headline sporting change, as it would guarantee (for the first time ever) that every race started with 30 drivers on the grid. However, that was not the only change to the sporting regulations for S13.
The qualifying format was changed for the first time since S01, By splitting up the 1 hour Qualifying Session into 5 different "Quarter" Ranges. The first (Q5) would take place over 15 minutes, and the slowest 6 drivers were eliminated from the Q4, which would last 10 minutes, after which the next 6 slowest drivers were eliminated from contention. Q3 would then commence with just 18 drivers remaining on the track. Q3 also lasted 10 minutes, after which only 12 drivers would remain on track. Q2 would take just 10 minutes, before the final 6 drivers took a 5 minute break to clarify their final setups for the race start, before returning to the track for a final 10 minutes of qualifying laps.
The Points distribution also changed for Season 13, with every Driver-point yielding position now also yielding constructors points, in addition to removing one negative point at the bottom of the finishing order. This made the total point value of the finishing grid 30 points. The Points distribution became as follows:
Finishing Pos. | Driver's Title Points | Constructor's Title Points |
---|---|---|
1 | 75 | 5 |
2 | 70 | 4 |
3 | 65 | 4 |
4 | 60 | 3 |

Technical Regulation Changes
The Cars changed greatly between Seasons 12 and 13, with a new Era, planned to last 3 years before the next major rule change, hoping to shuffle the order somewhat from the previous 12 Seasons.
The Size of the vehicles was shrunk significantly - length by about 9%, and height just over 15%, and the complex above-wheel aerofoils that had grown in popularity over the last Technical Regulation Cycle were banned
The internal makeup of the Engine was also changed, with Regulations widening slightly to allow for more, different styles of Engines to thrive in the same rule bracket. For ICEs, several new parts were specified as standard parts, and a few were released from Spec. The allowances on the HERS were also changed, to theoretically allow for more variation in style and internal placement. The intake manifold specifications were also changed.
Location Summary
Although the schedule was shuffled slightly for Season 13, the venues remained the same as the S12 Calendar.

Season Progression
Race 1 - Cagne Island
The season opener came with huge amounts of hope that it may shuffle the competitive order from the last several seasons, and potentially let new teams into the top spots. As Qualifying started, this hope began to materialize, as a National Driver (Eva Sayll) and an Octan driver (Julia Young) were caught out in Q3, and Anna Aster (National) and Diana Perko (Octan) found themselves unable to pass out of Q3. The Fire trio of Avayah Osborne, Josep Vikalkin, and Camilla Cyne comfortably took the top spots on the grid, placing on Pole, P2, and P3 respectively. Avayah Osborne especially came as a surprise, taking her 2nd career pole by a good margin on her first outing in Fire Machinery. Sofia Deitsch, racing for ACAE, and the backup driver for both Windsor and Fire, impressed all around by Qualifying P13.
The race itself got underway with little fuss, and Avayah Osborne took off from the line, and led the race away. The three Fires held formation tightly through the first half of the race, before Camilla Cyne dove up Josep Vikalkin's inside and took P2 from him. However, Fire still seemed on track for Maximum Race Points, until Lap 50, when Vikalkin suffered a major engine fire, and was forced out of the race. Under the ensuing safety conditions, the field tightened up, and several drivers found good opportunities to snag several positions, such as Windsor's Zarya Ilic, who had started the race in P9, and had spent most of her race in P8, but found the rolling safety restart a good opportunity to sneak around defending Champion Aleks Rosya and Octan's Perko. Camilla Cyne attempted to pass Osborne after the gap had been erased between them, but could not find her way around the Team Rookie, who brought home a victory the first time that she had driven her new Machinery.
Despite one DNF, Fire found themselves leading the Constructor's Title battle for the first time in their History, with 8 points. Octan remained quite close behind, with 7, but Windsor had surprised many people by coming squarely in 3rd overall, with 6 points. National found themselves tied with Angel for 4th, after Angel's Satine Kryze drove to an excellent P4 finish. Osborne's replacement, Dragon, found themselves in 6th, with 3 points, ahead of ACAE (1 point) Tikam-Halbeck (0), Quantos (-1) and Erit (-2). Fire's complete dominance of the event (barring their one reliability issue) came as a surprise to many, who had expected Octan or National to find the pace that they had so competently held for the last several seasons.
Race 2 - Mezhdograd
Race 2 Qualifying ended in much the same way that it had at the previous race - with a Fire Top 3, although this time it was Camilla Cyne's turn to take her 2nd Career Pole in a very tight Qualifying battle with her teammate, Avayah. Windsor took a significant step forwards in Q2, with both Zarya Ilic and Ariadne Stryke qualifying in Q1, and Milena Markovic not far behind, starting P10. None of the National Vehicles managed to pull themselves beyond Q2, and only De Leon represented Octan in the final stage of Qualifying.
Just four corners into the race, Title-leader Avayah Osborne saw her lead crumble, as her car burst into flames in a fashion almost identical to her teammate Vikalkin's DNF the previous race. Camilla Cyne was never truly under pressure for the rest of the race, although her remaining teammate, Vikalkin, couldn't say the same; he saw Zarya Ilic pass Adrienne De Leon relatively easy and early on, and pressure him throughout the rest of the race. Fire took a bold move and put him onto a 2-stop strategy to try and out-tire Ilic's Windsor. However, believing that Ilic had the pace to take Vikalkin on even footing, the Windsor pit wall mimicked Fire's calls, and took the same strategy decisions. Their plan proved right, and Ilic took Vikalkin on track, and finished the Race in P2, taking home Windsor's first Podium, and her own 2nd Podium.
Windsor Overtook Octan as the second-best team, with 15 points to Fire's 16, while Octan fell behind to 11 points. Angel also overtook National for 4th place, with 9 points to the latter's 8. Dragon continued to break their predecessors [Osborne] form, and scored positively again, moving to 4 points. ACAE lost a point over the week to become tied with T-H for 8th place. Quantos and Erit both remained stationary in their place on the grid, with -1 and -2 points respectively.
Camilla Cyne took the lead in the Title battle, and Zarya Ilic took P2 overall, followed by Adrienne De Leon and Aurora Kryze, respectively.
Race 3 - Monta Roblov
Camilla Cyne took a second Pole of the season ahead of Zarya Ilic and Avayah Osborne. Windsor continued towards the front, with both Ilic and Ariadne Stryke placing in Q1, higher than they had in Mezhdograd. Josep Vikalkin continued his history of strong placements in Côte Blanche, qualifying P4 overall. For the second race in a row, no Nationals made it through to Q1, and one remained back in Q3, leaving two in Q2. The three Angel cars qualified in three separate Ranges, with Ella Fader making it all the way to Q1, Aurora Kryze finishing the session in Q2, and Jakov Franjic in Q3. Notably, none of the Octans qualified through to Q1 either, all finishing in Q2.
As the race started out, Diana Perko made a very quick start, and went up the outside to gain several positions before the first corner. Camilla Cyne led from the line, although Josep Vikalkin did manage to jump teammate Avayah Osborne in the first corner. Zarya Ilic attempted to put pressure on Camilla Cyne, but couldn't make a credible threat on the first lap. However, she stayed incredibly close to the race leader, watching for an opportunity, even as they distanced themselves from the rest of the pack. However, disaster struck both of their races on Lap 4, when Cyne's engine gave way on the straight, and she lost speed very suddenly. Ilic attempted to avoid impact, but struck the edge of Cyne's rear-left tire, and caused significant damage to her front wing, and pushing Cyne's car into a smoky spin, until it came to rest on the left side of the track. A safety car was immediately called, and Ilic dove into the pit lane for a front-wing change. She was the only driver to enter the pits during the safety period, and exited the pitlane in P20, behind the Erit of Zimas Vilkas. She continued through the rest of the race on maximum attack, finishing in P4, after an impressive drive, passing two drivers every five laps. Josep Vikalkin, who had inherited the lead after Ilic and Cyne removed themselves from contention, spent the remainder of the race defending from Avayah Osborne, which he did successfully on the tight corners of Monta Roblov. Diana Perko raced a solitary third place for the remainder of the race. Dragon's Sarah Martins came into contact with Quantos' Muqyabzal Svetak on Lap 39, and both sustained damage that caused each of their respective teams to retire their cars under a lap later, despite the fact that they both professed that they could continue racing. Vikalkin never broke free of Avayah Osborne, but did manage to keep ahead of her for the remainder of the race, which was helped by the fact that Fire decided to run them on the same strategy. He brought home his 11th Career Win, and Osborne her 7th career Podium.
With all three Fires having taken one DNF in their first three races, Osborne and Cyne found themselves in a four-way-tie with Windsor's Ariadne Stryke and Octan's Diana Perko for P3 in the Driver's Title. Zarya Ilic moved into the Championship lead for the first time in her career, and Adrienne De Leon found herself in the familiar position of P2 overall.
Fire managed to keep a hold of the Constructor's Title lead, by just a single point from Windsor, with 24 to their 23 points. Octan, with 19 points, was in a solitary third, much like Perko had gone through the race. Angel scored well enough to distance themselves from National for 4th overall, with 13 points to National's 10. Dragon dropped from 4 points to 3 after Martins' DNF, but held onto 6th overall after ACAE scored their first two net points, to solidify themselves in 7th. T-H lost a point, to come tied with Quantos at -1 points for 8th overall, while Erit stayed steady in dead last, with -2 points.
Race 4 - Krajinograd
Anna Aster poked her head back into Q1 for National, managing a P5 Start. Zarya Ilic, after a mistake on what would be her best lap of the Qualifying session, where she ran wide, and had her lap deleted due to crossing track limits, and didn't make it out of Q3, starting the race in 13th. However, her Fire teammate, Ariadne Stryke, picked up the pieces and put together a splendid set of laps to put herself on the front row, with a P2 qualifying lap. All three Fires qualified in Q1, and Josep Vikalkin splendidly took the fourth pole of his career, and the first after his historic win in Rennia during Season 9, after his girlfriend, Kira Sanchez's death.
Fire took their second ever 1-2-3 at Race 4, and their first since Season 11 Race 8, at Monta Roblov. Camilla Cyne passed Avayah Osborne very quickly, taking her with a late lung at the chicane on Lap 2, while Avayah was still warming up. She then spent the next few laps of the 48-lap race chasing down Ariadne Stryke, before finally passing her on Lap 7. Vikalkin had built a sizeable lead by this point, and Cyne seemed unable to cut down on his lead. However, just before the first pit window opened on Lap 20, Diana Perko's Octan Engine blew itself into pieces on the straightaway, and she spun out directly into the next corner, bringing out the safety car. Both Cyne and Vikalkin pitted directly, followed by much of the field. Under the three-lap safety car, the whole field bunched up, and at the restart, Windsor's Milena Markovic found herself shooting up the inside of the track, and passed six other drivers, in what would come to define a powerful drive. Cyne passed Vikalkin on Lap 25, but he fought back, and used the slipstream he got from her to pass her back for the lead on Lap 29. Osborne, who had fallen back in the opening stint after Cyne passed her, had just made it back to P3, and was now chasing the pair ahead, and taking some time out of their lead. On Lap 34, the lead switched back to Cyne, and back to Vikalkin on Lap 38. However, on Lap 39, 9 laps from the end of the race, Vikalkin's lead was once again destroyed by a safety car, after Tikam-Halbeck's Daniil West locked his brakes and crashed into National's Aleks Rosya, sending the two cars and a huge field of debris spiralling onto the track. Vikalkin refused to let Cyne pass him on track, and dove into the pit-lane for a new set of tires, coming back out in P5, behind Cyne, Osborne, Fader, and Aster. At the restart, Aster didn't fight Vikalkin, believing it would be futile and just waste her time and tire health, However, Julia Young took advantage of that, and followed Vikalkin extraordinarily closely, passing Aster in the same move. Vikalkin scythed through the field for the remaining laps of the race, passing teammate Osborne to take P2 on Lap 47/48. He couldn't quite make it to Cyne, even though her tires had fallen off, but he finished the race 2 seconds clear of Osborne, but still 1.223 back from Race Winner Cyne. Julia Young was called in to the pits to retire the car on Lap 46, under threat of her engine imploding in much the same way Perko's had.
With Windsor's sub-par performance, Fire distanced themselves in first, with a new gap of 8 points, bringing their own total to 37 points, compared to Windsor's 29. Octan stayed level on points from their last race, with 19 to show. Angel continued their strong form, and maintained 4th overall, with a net-5 point haul, bringing them to 18 points. With Anna Aster's strong performance, National still scored positively, despite Rosya's DNF, and came to a total of 12 points. Dragon scored 3 points with Martins' P9, and Mileny's P14, and maintained their P6, with 6 points. ACAE continued to hold 7th overall, with Deitsch's P11, coming to 3 points. Quantos rose up to 0 points, putting themselves out into P8. Erit also rose to -1 point (from -2), to place 9th overall after Krajinograd. Finally T-H fell a further 2 points down the ladder, to -3, in last place overall.
In a Post-Race Technical Investigation, Octan determined that the destruction of Diana Perko's Engine was destroyed due to an accumulation of Miniscule Metal Shavings caused by what is called "The Devil's Nail Marks," which are miniscule deformations caused by pressure imbalances and machining defects in Wankel [Rotary] Engines, that scrape the inside of the chamber. Due to the higher power the Octan Engine was forced to run to maintain competitiveness, compared to previous years, the Devil's Nail Marks were making a much more pronounced impact than ever before seen in FL.
Race 5 - Makendonkovo
FL's second trip to the Krajyna Central Speedway saw Fire's first Non-Q1 finish of the season, with Camilla Cyne's brakes locking up on her flying lap, placing her in P7 overall. Avayah Osborne maintained Fire's Domination of Qualifying, though, taking Pole, once again ahead of Ariadne Stryke, who finished P2 for the second Qualifying Session in a row. Due to the lower speed demands of the track, Octan found they could put their engine in a much more favourable setup configuration, and both Adrienne De Leon and Diana Perko placed in Q1. National struggled in a major way; Rosya qualified P14, Aster P21, and Sayll P27.
The Race started relatively normally, with Osborne keeping the lead off the line, and Stryke and De Leon battling behind her. However, just 11 Laps into the 68-Lap Race, rain hit the track, forcing everyone into the Pitlane. Only Stryke stayed out, attempting to gain position over the rest of the grid. This huge gamble paid off beautifully when the Race was red-flagged during Lap 12, before she had made it to the pits, placing her at the front of the grid. She then took on Wet Tires, and led the race during the following Wet, during which very little overtaking happened, due to the challenge it was just to stay on the track. Numerous Cars slid off the track, but only Pas Mali was unable to continue the race, after he struck the barriers and crashed out on Lap 18. Clearing Debris from his crash took several laps, and Stryke kept the lead behind the safety car for 6 Laps more. Once the Safety Car left the track, the Rain also began to subside. As soon as it was a viable option, on Lap 26, De Leon dove into the pits for a pair of #2s, aiming for a long stint on the slow circuit, but also to solidly put distance between her and both Stryke and the Fires. Osborne and Vikalkin were both kept out for several laps longer, with Osborne not pitting for #4s until Lap 28, and Vikalkin not until Lap 29, when the track was mostly dried, and the Wet Tires were not very effective at all. Stryke pitted for #2s on Lap 28, and came out just behind De Leon. However, De Leon pulled away from Stryke, and widened her lead considerably. The Fire Pit Wall realised that they had made a significant mistake in putting on the harder #4s on their Drivers, However they felt they still had hope, as there was still a threat of Rain towards the end of the race. The second major bet on rain in the same race had the same result as the first one: it paid off brilliantly. On Lap 50, Osborne pitted for Damp Tires, when the rain had only just began to graze the surface of the track. Cyne, who was running in P8 after a terrible first half of the race, allowed her through, and she shot through the rest of the field as the track got increasingly wet. Once all the pit stops had completed, (including Diego Gonzalez and Kravjs Mileny hitting each other in the Pit Lane and ending their races on Lap 54) she found herself in P5, However she quickly found herself in P3, behind just Stryke and De Leon, both of whom had opted for full Wet Tires, rather than Osborne's Damps. However, Osborne kept the car on the track, and maintained P3 through until Lap 62, when the track once again began to dry, and allowed Osborne to pass Stryke, who's full Wet Tires were no longer as effective as the Damps. Aca Larsen's tires proved not enough to keep him on the track, and he went off into the runoff, and struck the barriers on Lap 65. Although Osborne's dry-er tires cut into De Leon's lead, the Octan Driver kept herself squarely out of her reach all the way through to the end of the race, and broke the S13 4-Race Fire win streak. Ariadne Stryke finished P3, bringing home Windsor's second Podium.
Despite the weaker overall Octan Package, De Leon had managed to keep herself close to the front all through the season, and was now propelled into P1 in the Championship with her 75-point haul in Krajyna. Osborne's strong performance over Cyne pushed her into P2 overall. Stryke's fifth top 10 finish in as many races pushed her to P5 overall, behind just Angel's Aurora Kryze, De Leon, and the three Fire drivers, and twenty points ahead of Zarya Ilic, who had struggled in the last two races.
In the Constructors' Championship, Fire pulled further away into the lead, widening the gap to P2 Windsor from eight points to ten, with 47 total points. Octan maintained their 10-point gap to Windsor ahead of them, but gained three points relative to P4 Angel. With National's -1 point in Makendonkovo, Angel distanced themselves from National by six points, taking their total gap to 12 points. Dragon scored a net 0 points, maintaining P6, but losing a point relative to ACAE, who scored a single net point, with both Sofia Deitsch and Ani Novak scoring a team point, and Aca Larsen DNF-ing, bringing their total to 4. Quantos' Osoba finishing P15 brough them from 0 to 1 total points. Erit's two DNFs brought them down to -3 points, where they now sat Level with Tikam-Halbeck.
Team and Driver Announcements
Between Race 5 and Race 6, Jenny Spalding, Hekwu Karnu (The Imperially Assigned Commissioner of the EotLP GP Commission), and Jane Kako (Karnu's Second In Command, the Colonel) made a press release, where they announced the EotLP's Future Plans for Formula Lego. They discussed how the EotLP would always be glad to be the home of FL, but realized that in such an international sport, it could no longer be subject to a National Government, nor could a government operate a team. To that extent, they announced that the National Team had been sold to Jenny Spalding, and she would run it as any other team from S14 onwards, under the name Spalding Racing. National would continue to supply Spalding engines until the next set of Technical Regulations but would have no further involvement with the team. In addition, the EotLP GP Commission would be restructured into the World Formula Lego Commission (the WFL Commission, or WFLC). The current EotLP GP Commission leadership would continue in their positions for another year, as they implemented new methods for finding leadership other than Rennian Imperial appointment. Finally, they announced that they would fund a new league of lower-level cars than FL, called the Formula National, which could serve as an intermediary step between the various Sr. Karting Leagues (most notably those in Cklserolva and the EotLP) and FL. This announcement was a very large change in how FL and it's subsidiaries operated. FL, Formula National (FN), and the various Karting Series were now subject to a different ruling body.
Between R5 and R6, Jenny Spalding announced that Aleks Rosya had been signed with Spalding for S14, with an option for him to extend a second year.
Fire announced that they were keeping on all three of their drivers for S14. They also announced that they were entering a second team in S14, called Flame, that they intended to use as a feeder team for the main, Fire team.
Two other new teams also confirmed their entry for S14; Mostafa and Clarke. Erit-Victor's owners (Aeshbalch Sporting Group Intl) also announced that they were ending their partnership with Erit-Victor, and would race for S14 under the name ASG Racing. They announced that they were replacing their technical chief, Guillermo Astrelic, with the S11-13 Angel Technical Chief, Mark Reiber.
Angel didn't let the role sit unfilled for Season 14 for long, announcing National's current Technical Officer, Griffin King, as their new Technical Director, on a two-year, renewable contract just a day after Reiber announced his departure.
Although Spalding made no announcements as to their new Technical Officer, internally, King's deputy - Andrei Gardner - was chosen to replace King almost immediately.
Race 6 - Fortrionale
Zarya took her first ever Pole in Fortrionale, narrowly edging out Avayah Osborne and Camilla Cyne by 0.013 and 0.017 seconds, respectively. Her teammate, Ariadne Stryke, also held a strong performance, placing P6 overall. Despite both of his teammates making it to Q2, Kravjs Mileny failed to set a time, and therefore started from the very back of the grid. Sofia Deitsch impressed with a Q2 appearance as well, starting the Race P12. Octan once again had to power up their engine potentially beyond safe limits in order to compete at the fast, Fortrionale track, and therefore suffered, with Young Qualifying P13, De Leon P20, and Perko P22.
Camilla Cyne started on #3s, and Avayah Osborne started on #1s. Over the race, Ilic was passed first by Osborne, then by Cyne. However, Cyne's one-stop strategy was superior to Osborne's two-stop, and after a riveting chase down in the last few laps of the race, Camilla Cyne took her third win of the season. Osborne came home second, and Ilic held off Vikalkin to take home another Podium. Deitsch fought her ACAE all the way up to P8, finishing just behind Ariadne Stryke, who performed strongly again. Diana Perko's engine suffered a catastrophic failure on Lap 3. National's Eva Sayll suffered a brake issue, and was retired on Lap 25.
Osborne and Cyne tied each other for P1 in the Championship, with 350 points a piece. Vikalkin held third still, with 330 points. Behind him, Windsor Teammates Stryke and Ilic were tied for P4, with 310 points each.
Fire widened the Gap to Windsor once again, all the way to 14 points, moving up to 59 points. Windsor, who now had 45 points, widened the gap to P3, which had been taken by Angel, who now had 30 points, to Octan's 23, the same they had at the end of Race 5. National scored a net 2 points, bringing their total to 13, now nearly double Dragon's 7 points (1 up from Race 5). Sofia Deitsch scored 2 points for ACAE, bringing them to 6 overall, within striking distance of Dragon. Quantos stayed steady with 1 point, as did Tikam-Halbeck, at -3 points. Erit fell back two further points, to -5 total.
Team and Driver Announcements
In the Post-Race Interviews, Fire Team Manager Lila Abeke and Sofia Deitsch announced that Deitsch had been signed for S14 with Fire's new feeder team, Flame. Oscar Windsor also announced that, due to a lack of funding, they would not enter in S14, but would return for S15.
For the first time, between Races 6 & 7 was an intentionally long break, to allow some resting time from the increasingly packed race schedule. During that time, ASG, who had impressed with their new technical hirings, announced that Anna Aster would be racing for them.
Octan announced that it would not be renewing Julia Young's contract, who immediately announced a new contract with Mostafa. Ariadne Stryke then announced that she would be replacing Julia Young at Octan for Season 14. Diana Perko, whose contract extended until the end of Season 14, would also continue at Octan
Quantos announced that Romil Brojar (The 255 Cklserolva Sr. Karting Champion) would be racing for them for Season 14.
Diego Gonzalez, who had been racing for Erit, announced that he had been hired by Spalding.
ACAE announced that they would be keeping Ani Novak, and replacing the out-going Deitsch with Evacio Torra, their lead Support Driver for S13.
Dragon announced that they would be retaining both Adrjana Gutnik and Sarah Martins for S14 alongside Zarya Ilic, who would be on loan from Windsor (who had signed her on a three-year deal).
Fire also announced that Ilyn Laham, ACAE's second Support Driver for S13, would be joining Sofia Deitsch at Flame.
ASG held a press release where they revealed that Windsor's current Team Manager, Muhammad Ivic, would be leading their (hopeful) revival, and that Tikam-Halbeck's Konstantin Bosko had been signed on a 3-year deal with ASG.
Tikam-Halbeck announced that Tikam had been bought out of ownership of the team, which would race in Season 14 under the name Halbeck. They confirmed that Sarah Aither and Daniil West would continue on for a third year each. In addition, they announced Erit's Zimas Vilkas would be replacing Bosko as their third driver for Season 14.
Race 7 - Dryzakyl
Josep Vikalkin took his 5th Career Pole, and 2nd of the Season, ahead of his Fire Teammates, between whom tensions had been rising steadily as their points tallies continued to be very similar. The Major Problems seen with Octan at the last track seemed to disappear, with all three cars progressing to Q2, and De Leon Qualifying P4, sandwiched between 3 Fires, and the Fires of Zarya Ilic and Ariadne Stryke.
Vikalkin led off the line, placing himself in front of his teammates in the first few corners. Osborne and Cyne began to battle behind him, duking it out for P2, which allowed him to spread the distance to those behind him. Julia Young managed to pass Stryke on the Opening Lap, and began to pressure Ilic ahead of her. On Lap 13, Young attempted to muscle her way past Ilic, who aggressively cut Corner 8 to try and defend, but instead struck Julia Young, who found herself pinned between the Windsor and the close barriers on the inside of the corner, and rammed into Ilic, taking both of them out of the race, and bringing out the safety car, as there were now two cars stopped on track. In trying to avoid the crashed cars on the next lap, Ella Fader spun out on the runoff, and slammed into the opposite barriers, taking herself out of the race. The Safety Car came in on Lap 15, after all three cars had been cleared from the track. Vikalkin continued to lead, and De Leon, who had been quietly puttering along in P4, between two battles, found herself under pressure from Stryke. Vikalkin Pitted on Lap 25, coming out on #4s, clearly aiming to end the race on the same tires. Cyne, who was at that moment ahead of Osborne, pitted on Lap 26, and Osborne followed on Lap 27. Both returned on #4s as well. The race continued relatively uneventfully for the next long while, with Cyne and Osborne trading position several times, and Stryke and De Leon doing the same. On Lap 45, ACAE's Ani Novak lost control on the straight, and began wildly spinning, where she was hit by her teammate, Sofia Deitsch, who had been attempting to pass her on that lap. The Safety Car was brought out again, this time for 8 Laps. The field bunched up significantly over that section, and Konstantin Bosko passed four drivers after the Restart, adding to his incredibly impressive race. De Leon also momentarily found herself in front of Camilla Cyne, but Cyne charged back past her, to battle Osborne once again. On Lap 62, Osborne, who had been passed, once again, by Cyne, attempted to pass her on the inside of Corner 8, where Ilic and Young had already crashed out. They didn't crash, but made contact, and skidded off into the grass runoff, where they took long enough to make it back onto the track that they found themselves far down the order: Osborne returned to the track in P13, and Cyne in P15. The two of them raced back up through the pack, tearing through the opposition. Ariadne Stryke put an assertive move on Adrienne De Leon at Corner 16 on Lap 65, and managed to keep De Leon behind her for the remainder of the race. Osborne and Cyne found each other again on Lap 67 when they had both passed Milena Markovic. There was a large distance ahead of them to Aleks Rosya, who was running P5, behind Diana Perko, and Osborne requested the team tell Cyne not to attack, to try and close down the gap to Rosya. The team refused to take action, as it seemed there might be a title on the line between these two. Although Osborne managed to keep Cyne behind her for the remainder of the race, the two of them stayed in P6 and P7, and never approached Rosya. Vikalkin finished the race, having led nearly every lap, except between his Pitstop and De Leon's. Stryke brought home a P2, her second Podium, and Windsor's third in 3 races. De Leon finished P3, after not even being able to score points in the previous race.
Vikalkin's controlling drive and his teammates strife led him to jump to the lead in the Title Fight, with 405 points, just 5 ahead of Osborne, who was herself 5 ahead of Cyne. Just 5 points behind her was Ariadne Stryke, who - despite not having won a single race yet - was keeping herself extremely close to the front, and very much in the title fight. With 350 points, De Leon found herself a distant P5, with 40 points to Stryke ahead, and to Ilic behind. Ilic, who had been expected to confidently beat Stryke (as she had the previous season: scoring 350 points in Season 12, compared to Stryke's 180), had suffered several mistakes, and other unfortunate circumstances that had put her more than a race win behind her teammate.
Despite two drivers severely underperforming, Fire widened the gap to Windsor, scoring 10 points (bringing their total to 69), compared to Windsor's 5 points (taking them to 50 overall). Angel scored 3 points, and Octan scored 6, bringing them to the same total of 33 points. Rosya & Sayll's somewhat invisible races brought home 4 points, moving them to 17 total. Dragon scored only 3, bringing them to 10. With 2 DNFs, ACAE actually lost 2 points, taking their total down to 4 points. Quantos' Veliki Osoba had a remarkable drive, making up 6 positions to finish P11, and score a team point for Quantos, bringing them to 2 points. Both Tikam-Halbeck and Erit stayed level in P9 and P10, with -3 and -5 points, respectively.
Ani Novak's crash proved very damaging, and she was hospitalized for shock, fractured wrists, and potential concussion.
Race 8 - Verskaell
Ani Novak's fractured wrists prevented her from participating in the Verskaell FL Race, so ACAE's Support Driver Evacio Torra was called up to take her place for the Verskaell FL Race, making her the first Tugiran to take part in an FL race.
Verskaell pointed out Fire's apparent biggest weakness: Altitude. Their Power Unit struggled greatly at the high altitude, and consequently, not one Fire made it to Q5 for the first time in the Season. Angel, whose electric powertrains were not affected whatsoever by the altitude, cleaned out the front of Qualifying, and Aurora Kryze took both her and Angel's first Pole Position. Markovic and Ilic followed behind the Angels, but never threatened the Angels ahead. The ACAEs qualified well, with Aca Larsen taking P8 on the grid, Sofia Deitsch taking P10 on the Grid, and even Rookie Evacio Torra making it through to Q3, and qualifying P18. Sarah Martins qualified P6, marking Dragon's first Q1 showing.
The Race was almost entirely unremarkable, with Kryze leading the race the entire way, followed by Ella Fader. Zarya Ilic managed to take Jakov Franjic on Lap 37, and continued battling him throughout the rest of the race, taking home Windsor's 4th consecutive podium. Camilla Cyne recovered 2 positions despite the Fire's weaker engine, finishing P5 at the chequered flag. Avayah Osborne recovered 3 places, to finish P9. Vikalkin, who started P14, also recovered 3 places, to finish P11. ACAE's Deitsch finished P6, and Larsen finished P10. Torra finished P22. The Octans struggled more than they had at Race 6 in Fortrionale, finishing P26, 27, and 28, ahead of only Quantos' Gacesa, and Erit's Vilkas.
Windsor scored a total of 8 points at Verskaell, taking them to 58 total. Fire still managed a decent haul, scoring 6 points, bringing them to 75. Angel took a huge step up into P3, scoring 12 points, bringing them to 45. Octan lost 2 points, and ended the weekend with 31 points. National scored a point, bringing them to 18 points. Dragon scored 2, bringing them to 12. ACAE's strong performance brought home 5 points, leaving them with 9 points in total. Quantos and T-H stayed level at 2 and -3 points, respectively. Erit lost 2 points, bringing them to -7 points total.
Team and Driver Announcements
After the Verskaell Race concluded, Milena Markovic and ASG made the announcement that she was moving from Windsor to ASG for Season 14.
Clarke held their first press conference, announcing Kravjs Mileny had been hired from Dragon, and Pas Mali (whose current team, Erit, had its roster filled for the next season) would join him. They also announced that Jeremy Cohen, who had led Silva's technical side for their short-lived tenure in FL, and had raced with Octan for 7 seasons, would take the role of Lead Engineer at Clarke for Season 14.
Race 9 - Jutvyrda
With Ani Novak still injured from her Dryzakyl crash, Evacio Torra filled her seat at ACAE for the second race in a row.
Jakov Franjic scored his first pole in Jutvyrda, where the altitude once again greatly benefitted the Angels. Zarya Ilic broke their front choke-hold, out-qualifying Aurora Kryze, and taking P3 on the grid. With Ariadne Stryke taking P5, only Josep Vikalkin managed to show into Q1 for Fire. Octan once again had a horrific qualifying session, with Diana Perko in P24 their best qualifier.
Franjic led from the start, and Zarya Ilic dug deep to fight hard against Kryze behind her, in what should have been a much quicker car. Although it took her longer than expected, Kryze finally made her way past Ilic on Lap 15. Ilic, starting on the #5s, found herself promoted to the lead on Lap 20, after both all Three Angels pitted to replace their #3s with new #3s. Just 6 laps later, a highly unexpected weather change occurred: rain. The light rain destroyed everyone's speed on dry tires, and Ilic pitted for a set of Damp Tires, as did the rest of the grid. At the reduced, wet, speeds, she held her 1-pitstop long lead fairly steadily from the Angels. Around Lap 34, the rain began to fall more heavily than before, and over the next two laps, every car pitted for Wet Tires. Franjic began to claw back some of the gap to Ilic in this time. Ella Fader began to lap faster than him, though, and passed him on Lap 38. ACAE's Aca Larsen found himself in the barriers on the outside of Turn 14 on Lap 38, and had to be retired. Although yellow flags were shown, no safety car was brought out for the incident. Two laps later, Erit's Pas Mali had to be retired for a suspension issue after he hit the barriers of Turn 7. As Franjic had begun to take around 0.5 seconds out of Ilic's roughly 16 second lead starting on Lap 35, Fader was taking nearly 2 seconds, and was rapidly approaching Ilic, looking to reach her by Lap 45. She duly caught up to Ilic, and the two battled in the rain for the next 3 Laps. However, Faders tires had been pushed too far in order to reach such lap times, and on Lap 48, she suffered a puncture in her left rear. She dove into the pits, and returned with a new set of #Ws, but found herself in P10, behind Windsor's Milena Markovic. She made her way past Markovic on the final lap, and finished the race P9. Zarya Ilic brought her Windsor home to take Windsor's first ever victory, and her second ever. Angel brought their 7 & 8th podiums home, but missed out on a win that they had been strongly predicted to get. The Octans finished dead last.
Scoring ahead of all of her title competitors, Camilla Cyne's P4 solidified her P1 overall standing, putting her 25 points ahead of Ariadne Stryke and Avayah Osborne, and 40 points ahead of Josep Vikalkin. Ilic's second strong performance in as many races pushed her closer to the front group, leaving her just 60 points behind Cyne's lead. Sofia Deitsch finished strongly again, in P7. Her fill-in teammate, Evacio Torra, finished P17, quite a feat for her second ever FL race. Defending Champion Aleks Rosya found himself mathematically eliminated from Title Contention after the chequered flag in Jutvyrda, with only 225 points to Cyne's 510.
With Ilic's win, Windsor pulled closer to Fire for the second race in a row, scoring 10 points to Fire's 8, leaving them with 68 and 83 points, respectively. Angel also scored 10 points, bringing them to 55 total. Octan fell a further 3 points, to 28. National scored just 1 point, bringing them to 19. Dragon scored the last two available points, bringing them to 14 points - inching ever closer to National's scores. ACAE also scored 1 net point, with Sofia Deitsch scoring 2, and Aca Larsen's DNF losing one. This brought their total to 10 points. Quantos' Veliki Osoba and Kaz Gacesa scored 1 team point each, bringing them to 4 points, their biggest haul of the season. For the 5th race in a row, Tikam-Halbeck scored 0 net points, keeping their total at -3. Erit lost one more point, dragging them down to -8 points.
Team and Driver Announcements
After tying his strongest-ever performance, Jakov Franjic revealed that he would be leaving Angel for Season 14 onwards. Angel then announced that Adrienne De Leon would be moving from Octan to race with them on a 2-Season contract, alongside Aurora Kryze and Ella Fader.
Race 10 - Rennia
Ani Novak returned from the sidelines for the first practice session of Race 10, but found the pain that driving the ACAE caused her to be too much, and Evacio Torra filled her seat for the remainder of the weekend.
Although the formation lap was dry, rain began to fall as drivers began their flying laps, leading several drivers to need different tires than what they were driving on, leading three drivers to fail to set a time in Q5 (Dragon's Kravjs Mileny and Adrjana Gutnik, and Quantos' Kaz Gacesa). Then, during Q4, the track rapidly dried, and three more drivers, Quantos' Veliki Osoba, Muqyabzal Svetak, and Angel's Ella Fader, failed to set a time. Q3 saw rain again, and National's Anna Aster failed to set a time. Finally, during Q2, the sun emerged for the final time, and National's Eva Sayll failed to set her time. Despite her teammates exiting in Q5, Dragon's Sarah Martins managed to pull a P5 starting position, marking only the second time that a Dragon had qualified in Q1. Octan also emerged from their mega-slump, and Diana Perko scored P6 on the starting Grid. Windsor's Zarya Ilic split the three Fires, with Avayah Osborne behind her, and Camilla Cyne ahead of her, and Josep Vikalkin on Pole for the 6th time in his career.
Despite the chaotic nature of Qualifying in Rennia, the race proved universally dry. Osborne & Cyne raced on opposite strategies, With Osborne running a #1 - #3 - #4 - #5, and Cyne running a #5 - #3 - # 4 - #1. Their teammate, Josep Vikalkin, decided for a #5 - #5 - #4 - #5. Osborne made quick work of those in front of her on her #1s, and peeled off into the distance within a few laps. She pitted on Lap 8, emerging in P4, behind her Fire Teammates, and Windsor's Zarya Ilic. After passing Ilic on Lap 12, she found herself promoted to P1 over Laps 18 & 19, when Cyne and Vikalkin pitted from the front. She immediately pitted, on Lap 20, and emerged in P5, where Vikalkin and Cyne had emerged after their pits. After an incredible first stint, Sofia Deitsch, who had started 10th, and not yet pitted, found herself leading the race. Ilic pitted from P2 on Lap 22, and Deitsch from P1 on Lap 24. They both emerged in P7, but began moving their way upwards through the field. Osborne passed Vikalkin on Lap 21, and Cyne on Lap 27. Cyne pitted again on Lap 28, emerging in P6. Osborne then led the Race until Lap 36, when she pitted again, and emerged P2, behind only Cyne. Cyne pitted for the final time on Lap 43, emerging in P3, behind Vikalkin and Osborne. Despite her best efforts through the rest of the Race, she couldn't close the gap to Osborne, and finished P2 behind her teammate, and title rival. The ACAEs of Deitsch and Torra showed extraordinarily well, finishing P5 and P7 respectively, their best ever result, although Aca Larsen failed to utilise the maximum of the car's potential, finishing P26 out of 27 finishers. The Nationals fared very poorly at their home track, with Anna Aster suffering a suspension failure on Lap 32, and neither of her teammates finishing in the points; Defending champion Aleks Rosya finished P17, and Eva Sayll finished P21, despite qualifying P12. Konstantin Bosko balanced his Tikam-Halbeck Teammate's horrific performances (Sarah Aither DNF on Lap 35, and Daniil West finished P27) with their best ever result of P10, and tying his own best-ever finish, after a superb final stint, where he scythed through the field after pitting for #4s on Lap 40 of 52.
With Stryke managing P8, a relatively weak result compared to much of her season, she fell to 55 points behind the Championship leader, who remained Camilla Cyne, although Avayah Osborne narrowed the gap to 20 points. Vikalkin, now 45 points behind Cyne, publicly stated that he wouldn't get between Osborne and Cyne in the last two races as they duked it out for the title. Ilic took 20 points out of the lead that Stryke had built up over the season, leaving Ilic just 15 points short of being the highest scoring Windsor Driver. Now 130 points behind Cyne, Aurora Kryze found herself all but mathematically eliminated from Title Contention. Adrienne De Leon did find herself mathematically removed from title contention.
Fire took all 13 available points in Rennia, extending their lead to 96 points. Windsor scored 6, bringing them to 74 total points. Angel brought 4 points home, taking their total up to 59, and guaranteed at least a 3rd overall finish, now being more than 32 points ahead of Octan, and with the highest possible points swing over 2 races being 32 points. Octan scored positively for the first time since Race 7, going from 28 to 30 points. National lost a point, and Dragon gained three, leaving them separated by just one point, National with 18, and Angel with 17. Despite one backmarker, ACAE finished well, and scored 4 net points (their highest haul yet), leaving them with 14 points, approaching the final two races. Quantos' DNF lost them a point, bringing them down to 3 total points. With one DNF and one Backmarker, balanced by Konstantin Bosko's superb performance at the highest deg track on the calendar, Tikam-Halbeck managed to once again score a net 0 points, leaving them with -3. Erit also scored no points either way, maintaining -8 points overall.
Race 11 - Karebyr
Ani Novak returned to drive for ACAE once again in Karebyr, and Torra stepped down for the final two races of the season. However, she had made her mark, and proved her worth, and several other drivers noted that - had she not already been signed by ACAE before she had her opportunity to shine in Rennia, she would have been snatched by another team almost for certain.
Vikalkin took a second consecutive Pole, showing a great improvement in his qualifying pace over previous years. Cyne spun on her final lap, placing her P5 in the final starting Grid. Zarya Ilic placed well once again, taking P2 overall, ahead of Avayah Osborne. Sarah Martins qualified P4, setting a Dragon best for the second race in a row. National stumbled, and their qualifying performance seemed to fall off even further, with all three cars finishing in Q3.
Osborne opted for a #1 - #1 - #4 strategy, whereas Cyne decided to try a #5 - #5. Vikalkin, who had proved at the last race that he could make tires last much longer than most other drivers, opted to try a #2 - #1 - #2, a combination that should only theoretically last 149 of the Race's 156 laps, but he believed he could make work. Ilic, starting amongst the hugely dominant Fires, at a track that should theoretically play to their strengths (i.e. Corner speeds), opted for a good balance of a #2 - #3 - #1, leaving her with fresh soft tires towards the end of the race.
Osborne started strongly with her soft tires, and moved into second place by Lap 10 of the many-lap race. Vikalkin stayed true to his word from after the Rennia Race, and allowed Osborne through on Lap 12, where she continued to lead until she pitted on Lap 42, dropping to P4. Cyne, on #5s, took longer to pass Ilic & Martins, but made her way to P3 by Lap 20. From there, she found herself unable to close the gap to Vikalkin for a decent chunk of time, but found herself promoted to P2 on Lap 42 when Osborne pitted. As Vikalkin's #2s began to age dramatically, she began to close down on him, and he allowed her past on Lap 50, before he pitted on Lap 52, before his target times. From there, Cyne sat comfortably in the lead, ahead of Osborne until she pitted from P1 on Lap 82, followed by Osborne just a few laps later, on Lap 86. After the next set of Pitstops finished, Cyne found herself nearly 18 seconds in the lead, without a pitstop left to make. However, her race began to fall apart on Lap 103, when Vikalkin's now very aged #1s suffered a puncture at Turn 8, and he spun and crashed in huge fashion all along the back straight-ish section. Cyne immediately called for the Fire pit crew to prepare a new set of #2s for her, and dove into the pits - knowing that Osborne would close down on her during the Safety Car, and Osborne's similarly - aged #4s would make short work of her own #5s. She emerged from the pits in P4, behind Osborne, Ilic, and Angel's Jakov Franjic. The Safety Car remained on the track until Lap 112, when Vikalkin's vehicle and its resulting debris was finally fully cleared from the track. Ilic also pitted under the safety car, emerging on Lap 111 on #1s, in P5. When the race restarted, Osborne held her position in P1, and quickly left Jakov Franjic behind, and built a sizeable lead over him. Cyne began attacking Franjic ahead of her, but he held her back, defending well against the newer tired-Fire. Ilic quickly made her way past her teammate, Aurora Kryze, who had been running in P4. She then began to bear down on Camilla Cyne, who herself was steadily decreasing the space between her and Franjic. On Lap 134, Ilic made her first move against Cyne, and the two began a 4-lap battle, which resulted in Ilic making her way past Championship Leader Cyne. Franjic, whose tires had worn down significantly during his battle with Cyne, found himself in Ilic's sights by Lap 140, and she made her way past him by Lap 145, with minimal resistance. The Angel Pitwall then informed him that he appeared to have the pace to keep Cyne at bay, and he began to battle Cyne harder than he had Ilic. However, Cyne still passed him, on Lap 150. However, by then Ilic was about 3.5 seconds ahead of Cyne, although her tires were degraded more than Cyne's were. Cyne began clawing back the time between the two. Ilic drove exceptionally well from there onwards, balancing her degrading tires and the pace needed to keep the Championship Leader behind her very well. By lap 154, the gap between them was close enough that Cyne could consider passing, but a few carefully placed defensive moves and some extraordinarily well-timed moves on the back high-speed straight kept her ahead for the last six kilometres of the race, and Ilic finished in P2, fighting off Cyne in a straight battle. National's Eva Sayll retired from the Race on Lap 135, after suffering a similar suspension failure to Anna Aster's at the previous race. Angel's Ella Fader also retired, after running out of all but her emergency services battery power on Lap 153, after pushing extraordinarily hard through the whole race.
Osborne's victory narrowed Cyne's championship lead down once again, and brought them equal on Wins (three a piece). With Vikalkin's DNF, only three drivers were left that could win the Championship with only the final round remaining: Cyne, Osborne, and Ilic. Ilic was on the very lower limit of possibility: in order for Ilic to win, she needed to finish P3 or higher, Cyne to finish at least 12 positions behind her, and Osborne to finish at least 10 positions behind her. In order to win, Osborne needed to place higher than P10, and with Cyne at least 2 positions behind her (in such a situation, the two would be tied on Wins, but Osborne would win on countback with 7 podiums to Cyne's 6). Cyne simply needed to finish higher than P12, and less than 2 positions behind Osborne in order to guarantee a title.
With 104 total points, Fire won the Constructors' Title in Karebyr, now being more than 16 points (the max relative points swing in a single race) ahead of Windsor, who guaranteed their second-place spot, being 20 points ahead of Angel. Angel, with 63 points, had guaranteed their 3rd place overall in Rennia. Octan's best scoring race since Dryzakyl, Karebyr brought them 4 points. Dragon scored very well once again, scoring 6 points, bringing them to 23 points, and 5th overall. National's tally remained stagnant at 18, and they fell behind Dragon, to 6th overall. Deitsch scored another point for ACAE, bringing them to 15 overall. Quantos, too, remained stagnant at 3 points, in 8th overall. Tikam, for the 7th race in a row, remained at -3 points. Erit fell a further 2 points, to -10 total.
Team and Driver Announcements
Jakov Franjic, who had an excellent race in Karebyr, scoring as the highest placed Angel for the third time in the season, and had announced that he would be leaving Angel after the Jutvyrda Race, revealed that he had been signed to race alongside Aleks Rosya and Diego Gonzalez at Spalding starting Season 14, on a two-year contract, with an option for a third year activatable by Spalding.
Eva Sayll who, by Franjic's announcement at Spalding, had been confirmed to not be racing there for Season 14 (although this had been suspected since after Race 5, when only Rosya was announced at Spalding from among National's current drivers), was announced to be racing at Mostafa from Season 14 by their newly revealed team manager - Nikola Veruci. This placed her alongside fellow World Champion Julia Young at the new team.
Octan, who still had one unfilled space in their roster, also announced that their second Backup Driver - Anon Cino, would race with them for Seasons 14 & 15, entering on their standard 2 - year minimum contract.
Flame, who had a well-respected line up so far, announced their final driver after the Karebyr race. Arid Mahles would join Sofia Deitsch and fellow rookie Ilyn Laham as the Feeder Team's initial lineup. Bryne Ellys and Lila Abeke (The Owner & Team Manager of Fire, respectively) also announced that Flame would be managed by Iris Wilkins, who had been the operations manager for the Sportscar Division of Fire's Parent Company (Fire Wheels & Tuning). They also announced Zivan Levo, the Director of Engine Performance at Silva Autosport (the Car Company, not the FL Team) to be Flame's Technical Officer.
Race 12 - Cagne Island
Heading into the Final Race of the Season, all eyes were on the Fire duo of Avayah Osborne and Camilla Cyne, who were regarded as the most likely winners of the Driver's Title by the general public. Both were confirmed to be racing with Fire once again the following Season, and no matter how Race 12 ended, Season 14 Race 1 could be expected to be fiery between the two of them.
Osborne outqualified Cyne, scoring Pole for the third time at the Cagne Island Circuit, and the fourth time in her career. Cyne qualified just behind her, though. Their teammate, Josep Vikalkin, attempting to stay very far away from their title fight, and not accidentally sway it, intentionally didn't set a time during Q1, and therefore started the race from P6. The three Windsor Cars, who had guaranteed their second overall team placement the race before, filled in the Gaps, taking the remaining spots in Q1.
Osborne opted to race on the #2 - #2 - #2 strategy, while Cyne chose the #4 - #2 - #1. Osborne's strategy, while theoretically faster, also required about 4 laps of over-use on her tires across the race, whereas Cyne's had no over-use compared to predictions. Vikalkin opted for a one-stop strategy, aiming to complete the #5 - #5 strategy, which left him with 2 laps of over-use. Fire were reportedly surprised by this choice, after a similar choice led to his crash at the last race, in Karebyr. Ilic decided to run the #3 - #2 - #1, which left her with 3 laps of overrun to complete. Stryke, just barely mathematically out of title contention, opted for the same strategy as Vikalkin, a #5 - #5.
Osborne started strongly, as was expected, growing a sizeable lead over Cyne as the race progressed. Ilic, in P3, solidified her position over her own teammates, aided by the fact that Vikalkin began attacking them right away, despite his much harder tires. Osborne pitted on Lap 20, leaving her 4 laps of over-use for the next two sets of #2 tires. Cyne was promoted to P1, Ilic to P2, and Stryke to P3. Vikalkin, who had been closing in on Stryke over the past several laps, aborted his charge until Osborne made her way past Stryke on Lap 26. By then, Ilic had pitted off of the #3s she started on (which she had over-run by 2 laps), and Vikalkin found himself once again having to wait to pass Stryke until the much faster Ilic had also found her way past Stryke. Stryke was passed by Ilic on Lap 30, and Vikalkin on Lap 31, before pitting on Lap 32 for a new set of #5s. Vikalkin, reporting that his tires were performing better than expected after several laps of not pushing them too hard, opted to stay out on his aged #5s (which had an estimated lifespan of 31 laps) until Lap 35, when he opted to pit for #4s, rather than the expected #5s. He emerged from the Pits in P4, ahead of Stryke. Cyne pitted on Lap 28, and emerged in P2, behind Osborne, with the two now on the same tires, but Osborne's nearly half-way depleted. Osborne defended gorgeously, though, and slowed the two down drastically, until Ilic found herself close to them. Osborne found that this defensive driving left her tires more worn than expected, and she had to pit on Lap 41, rather than 42, meaning she would have to last 23 laps on tires only rated for 20 laps of average use. She emerged in P4, but made her way past Ilic, whose tires were now aging as well, very quickly. Once she closed the gap to Vikalkin, he let her through. Stryke found her new set of #5s less comfortable than she had hoped, and couldn't close the gap to the lead 4. When Cyne pitted from the lead on Lap 49, she emerged P3, as Ilic had pitted just two laps earlier. Cyne closed the gap to Vikalkin as well, and he let her through, as well. From there, she began to bear down on Osborne, who had harder tires, that were also aged far more than Cyne's. Osborne held herself distant for an impressive time, but Cyne closed down, and as Osborne moved into having to keep her tires alive until the end of the race, Cyne performed the final pass over turns 13 and 14 on Lap 60. From there, Osborne and Cyne held position, while Vikalkin held off Ilic for the final Podium spot.
Camilla Cyne crossed the finish line 3 seconds ahead of her teammate and main rival, Avayah Osborne, and became the Season 14 Driver's Title Champion.
Hugely emotional after finally winning a title, despite proving her mettle time, and time again, and not having a real shot at the title since Season 10, when she had lost out just by a tiny margin, Camilla Cyne brought jubilation to the Fire Garage, for whom this was the first Driver's Title they had ever won.
Final Results
Camilla Cyne became the 10th Driver's Title Champion, with 720 points to her name, followed by Avayah Osborne, with 705, and Zarya Ilic, with 640.

Post Season
In interviews after the end of the Season, Avayah Osborne stressed that she was not done with Title Battles, and while congratulating Camilla Cyne on beating her, still stressed that she wanted a Driver's Title more now than ever, having coming so close, and would therefore be ready to battle Camilla Cyne more than ever during Season 14.
Camilla Cyne, in an interview at a later date said that she would enjoy nothing more than fighting for another title. She stressed that she had enjoyed the close fight her and Avayah had shared over the season, and looked forward to a repeat of the same.
Windsor's departure for a one-year hiatus from the sport prompted some big questions over why the second-best team in the sport couldn't fund itself well enough to continue to stay in the sport more than two years. Several financial changes were proposed to the outgoing EotLP GP Commission, and the incoming WFL Commission by several team owners and managers, including Tomo Docrik (Owner of Quantos), Mara Powers (Manager of Angel), and Lila Abeke (Manager of Fire).
Nikola Veruci, the newly-appointed Team Manager of the incoming Mostafa team, announced that Avans Drone, a Dragon and Windsor Reserve Driver for Season 13, would be their third Driver for S14.
Clarke's Team Manager - Victor Foley, also announced their third driver - Visna Ederg, Tikam-Halbeck's main Reserve Driver for Season 13.
After Quantos incinuating that at least one driver would not be continuing with them for S14 by announcing Romil Brojar's signing way back after their home race in Fortrionale, Veliki Osoba finally confirmed that it would be he who was not returning to the Orange Outfit, having been signed at ACAE on a two-year contract.
Once Osoba had made his announcement, Sarkis Mesic, Quantos' team manager, confirmed to reporters that Svetak and Gacesa would be racing with the Orange outfit again in Season 14.
Halbeck confirmed, once again, that they were the sole owners of the Tikam-Halbeck team, and would be named accordingly for Season 14.
