Charles Bottas

Charles "Charly" Henry Bottas is a former Formula Lego racer, who drove with Osborne for their first Season.

He raced with Osborne under the number 4-4

Early Life

Charly was born in the NRR in the year 217, to a family of Aristocrats in the mainland Nova Italia. They became EotLP Citizens when Lucius Rufus Brutus, the final Consul of the NRR, signed a treaty with the EotLP, giving them control over the dying NRR. the Bottases prospered under the new Rennian Rule, and Charlie lived . However, Charly's father lost much of his amassed fortune after taking a somewhat risky venture, buying a large portion of the "Air Supply" company, betting that it's value would skyrocket under new ownership an branding. However, just the next day, on the 2^nd of 235, the evacuation from the Smelly Cabbage Incident was announced, and began. The Bottases lived much more modestly, and below the radar in the Balkavanian EotLP.

Racing Career

As Charly began attending Rennia University, studying Auto Mechanics, his instructor suggested that, to gain work credits and experience, they help some of the local derby racers with maintaining their vehicles. Charly began to work with a friend, Steven Quincy, maintaining his vehicle. However, before on derby race, Quincy came down with the measles, so Charly raced in his stead. He won. From then on, he began to drive his own vehicle. He narrowly missed out the Rennia Derby Cup by just 7 points to George Sainz, who later became his teammate on Osborne.

At the formation of the Formula Lego league, team Osborne decided that their initial hiring strategy would be to hire people from slower leagues, who would have experience with the combat of racing. Charly made inquiries with Michael Osborne, and was slated for a test drive, alongside several future teammates, such as Sainz, Jacob Norris, Stephanie Hamilton, Heather Verstappen, and Nocah Tsunoda. Out of those fastest six, who were also hired to Osborne, Charly came second, ahead of Norris, but behind Tsunoda. He was signed as Osborne's 4^th driver, as his contract (which only guaranteed a single year) was much simpler than Norris, Sainz, Tsunoda, or Stroll's, who all campaigned for 2-year contracts.

Bottas' Season 1 was underwhelming. He finished in 20^th place overall, and 6^th within the team. Michael Osborne had decided that he wanted to fire the slowest half of his team, since he figured that the knowledge they gained as a team over the first season would be more valuable than the driver's knowledge. However, only Hamilton, Verstappen, and Bottas had single-year contracts. Bottas was frustrated with the firing, and took a year away from racing, before attempting his hand at Stock Cars.

Charly raced for 2 seasons in the nation-wide Rennian Stock Car Cup. He finished 20^th and 16^th overall in those two years, scoring a single podium in his second season. Tired of not winning, Charly retired from racing at the end of the year 247, when he was 30.

Life after Formula Lego

Charly married during his Formula Lego Career, to Sarah Bottas (née Clemons), and his first child, Alec, was born in 245. He finally put his Auto Repair degree to work, and started his own Auto Repair shop. He remained quite successful into his later years.
