Aster, in her National Racing Suit, Circa 252 (Season 9)

Anna Solana Aster was a Formula Lego Driver, who has raced for Octan, National, and ASG Racing. She narrowly won the Season 9 Driver's Title, becoming the third National Driver to win the title, the 7th Driver's Title Champion, and the 4th Woman to do so.

She raced at Octan under the number 44-12, at National under the number 44-39, and at ASG with the number 44-6

Aster was Born in 225.

Octan Career (Seasons 3 - 5)

Aster started her career perfectly respectably, with 6 points finishes in her debut season, after placing P4 at the S3 Unified Driver Test Races. She finished P12 over the season, and P5 within Octan, outperforming her own expectations for a Rookie.

Aster suffered slightly during the DNS-riddled Season 4, having several failed or slow starts, that saw her bag less than half the points she did the previous season, and come only P18 overall, and P6 within Octan. However, he contract was renewed for another two years by Octan's Outgoing Team Manager, the legendary Hadley Benett.

Anna started Season 5 quite strongly, with two P7 finishes, but ended much sooner than anticipated, at Race 3, after a driver error as she attempted to pass teammate Lily Octan on a straight, and was not expecting the change in grip when she went off the racing line, and catapulted herself into the barriers, shattering both of her wrists. She began recovery efforts as soon as possible, but was forced to sit out the rest of the season, and was not in physical condition to race again the next season.

Recovery Year

Octan did not renew her contract for Season 6, rather understandably, but funded both her recovery efforts, and made it clear that, if she was healthy and strong enough to race again during Season 7, she would have preference for the one remaining seat on their team. However, she couldn't confirm her condition by Octan's deadline, so Christina Fittipaldi was hired instead of her. However, Aster had not only recovered, but trained extremely hard throughout her year off, and managed to find a driver with National, on their typical one-year, renewable contract.

Early National Career (Seasons 7 - 8)

Aster's first FL Race in over a year and a half was a remarkably good one, as she finished P10 overall, and behind only two other National Teammates. With four results even better throughout the season, Aster finished P3 within National, behind only National's two champions, Eva Sayll and Vance Lewison, and finished a personal best of P9 overall, with 210 points.

Aster stepped up during Season 8, to finish P7 overall, despite a pointless finish at Race 1. She even found a new personal best finish of P5 at Race 6. However, once again she failed to finish ahead of all her teammates, losing out to Sayll and Lewison once more.

Title Championship (Season 9)

Aster found immediately that the Season 9 spec National exactly fitted her driving style, and matched nearly exactly what she had trained for during her off season. Instantly, out of the gate, she found her first podium at Rae 1, followed by another at Race 3, and her first win at Race 4, which put her into the lead of the Driver's Title Championship. At the tragic Race 6, Aster inherited the lead after the pileup that resulted in Kira Sanchez' Death, but was quickly pipped by Julia Young at the restart. However, she held on to P2, and took home her fourth podium of the year, giving her a 60-point lead over her nearest two race-capable competitors. Therefore, she needed just 15 points to guarantee a title victory, which seemed very doable, but after a minor qualifying mistake that left her starting quite a ways distant towards the back of the grid, while rivals Lily Gasly and Vance Lewison qualified to start P3 and P4. However, a dominant drive from P18 to P9 won her 30 points, more than enough to secure her Maiden Driver's Title.

Continued Strength (Season 10 - 11)

Although the Season 10 National shared much of the lifeblood of the S9 car, the rest of the field began to catch up, and Aster found herself locked in a tight battle with Camilla Cyne and Julia Young for the title. Each managed two wins across the season, Young and Aster each managed 6 podiums, and Cyne scored 5, but despite a whirlwind of a Final Race, where the three of them all started within 10 points of each other, Aster finished 3rd overall, just 5 points behind Cyne, and 10 behind Young, in what was likely one of the most competitive title battles of all time. Aster quite handily outperformed the rest of National as well, and still seemed on top of the world.

Two new names burst their way onto the scene in Season 11; National's Aleks Rosya, and Octan's Rookie Adrienne De Leon. Rosya proved himself to be one of the sport's all-time greats, taking four wins across the 12-race season, and supporting that with 3 other podiums, to take him to his first Title Victory. De Leon also proved herself, winning 3 races, and finishing with nine podiums to her name after her debut season. Aster couldn't quite manage the Season 12 National, which was even further from the S9 Spec Car she had absolutely ruled in, and finished the season with 3 podiums, one of which was a win at Race 11 in Mezistnik. However, she still finished P4 overall, and behind only Champion Aleks Rosya within National.

Later National Struggles (Seasons 12 - 13)

Aster struggled similarly in Season 12 and she found herself with only a single P3 and one win by Race 5. A major shunt in Race 5 then put her out of the cockpit for two races, but she returned strongly in Race 8, with a P3 Podium at Dryzakyl. Another P3 at the final Race in Cagne, and Aster found herself in P8 overall, and P3 within National, falling behind Eva Sayll. However, both were relatively easily explained with her two DNFs and two Injured absences. It was these absences, and the resulting points loss that National underwent that saw Octan nearly catch up and beat them in the Constructor's title battle. To avoid an injured driver deciding the Constructor's Title in the future, the EotLP GP Commission introduced the role of Reserve Drivers from Season 13 onwards.

Season 13 didn't set Anna or the other National Drivers up to succeed. The team didn't develop a car that could compete on any meaningful level, and even National's newest star, Aleks Rosya, finished only P13 overall, and the team finished 6th out of 10 teams. During the Season it was announced that National would not be competing in Formula Lego from S14 onwards, with the teams assets and personnel being transformed into Spalding Racing. Although Rosya chose to stay with the team through it's identity change, both Aster and Eva Sayll chose to leave the team. Aster closed out her term with her Championship-winning Constructor with a season that saw a best finish of P6, and 8 out of 16 races point-less for her. After Race 6, Erit, in their re-branded form of ASG Racing, announced that Aster would be their first signing for Season 14, joining on a 2 year contract.
