EotLP FL Racing
The Empire of the Lego Plains National Formula LEGO Racing Team (Commonly known as National) was a Formula Lego Team, which represented the government of the EotLP, and was funded directly by them. Their drivers were very often either active duty or retired servicemen & women. As a Military driver or pilot, it was seen as an incredible honour and privilege to be able to Race at the National team.
Due to several factors, not least of which was R&D Costs, Octan and National entered an agreement before Season 1 to purchase Octan Chasses and Power Units for the Sport's first 15 Seasons, however after the Enginegate Scandal during and beyond Season 7, National cut ties with their pseudo-parent team, and began working on their own hardware, which fully debuted for Season 9, for which they produced an incredible engine & body from their headquarters in Rennia.
The Team was Symbolically owned by the Emperor of the EotLP. From Season 1 - 4, it was Emperor Sergio Ren, and from then until the team's eventual dissolution, its owner was Emperor James Krennic. Their Team Manager, Jenny Spalding (An engineer who also served as an advisor to both Emeperor Ren and Krennic), was the true leader of the team, and guided them to many, many victories, and took over the team from Season 14 onwards, after it was removed from Rennian Government control, and became Spalding Racing.
National's first Driver's Title came with Vance Lewison, in Season 2. In Season 6, National didn't expect much, thanks to the dominant Osborne car and power train. However, an unlucky crash from Kira Sanchez led a winless Eva Sayll on to win National's second Title. Then, in Season 9, after major regulation changes, National came out as a dominating force, and took their first Constructor's Title, and Anna Aster brought National a third driver's title. The following year, Aster came third overall, being edged out for the Driver's title by Julia Young, an Octan driver, and Camilla Cyne, a Fire driver, but still managed to hold onto the Constructor's title by just a single point from Fire. Season 11 saw the rise of a new star at National - the incredible Aleks Rosya, a Cklserolvan citizen (the first to race for National). He led National to two more Constructor's Titles, and two more Driver's Titles of his own.
After Season 13, among its attempts to remove Formula Lego from the direct control of a National Government, the Rennian Government removed their entry - The National Team. All of the resources & assets of the team were officially given at no charge to Jenny Spalding, who had led the team since its inception. She re-entered a new team the following season, known as Spalding, which had a lot of carry-through from National, but was no longer the same Team.

C Indicates Constructor's Title Win.
Season 1
FL's Debut Season saw their lead driver, Vance Lewison, finish P2 overall with 2 victories (Races 4 & 5), just 5 points behind Octan's Salem Hoods. Octan's Mikael Cagne also performed at a similar level to those two, bringing Octan far ahead in the Constructor's Title Championship, finishing with 32 points to National's 21.
Season 2
Season 2 saw National fall backwards in the constructor's title, finishing with just 16 points, compared to Octan and Osborne's 19 each. However, Vance Lewison rocked the grid, and won 3 of the 6 races of the season - Races 1, 3, and 4 - this time flipping the tables and beating Salem Hoods to the Title by 5 points.
Season 3
Lewison's teammate, Sira Bowler stepped up her game in Season 3, winning 3 races (Races 2, 5, and 6), although she ended up missing out on the title to Octan's Mikael Cagne, largely in part due to her DNF at Race 3, which Cagne ended up winning (his only victory of the season), mainly because all of the drivers ahead of him crashed out. Although seemingly unfair, this was the way that the rules worked, and Bowler missed out the best opportunity at a Title in her career. National as a team stepped back forwards to P2 overall, with 19 Points to Constructor's Champions Octan's 23.
Season 4
National Racers won two races in a failure-prone Season 4, during which National saw 7 Starter failures across the 6 races, compared to Octan's 6 and Osborne's 9. Denise Perez won Race two ahead of defending champion Mikael Cagne, and Vance Lewison defended from the same to win Race 3. Osborne, despite their poor starting record, solidly won the Constructor's Title, and National found themselves just a point behind Octan, in P3 overall.
Season 5
As Osborne and Kira Sanchez made a clean sweep of Season 5, Octan and National were left to fight over the pieces, which National ended up doing much better than Octan, scoring 14 points to Octan's 9. This would lay the foundation for Octan choosing to pursue a different path from National from Season 7 onwards in terms of Engine Design, a process that would result in Enginegate.
Season 6
Despite National as a whole failing to compete on the level of Octan or Osborne once again during Season 6, a crash by Kira Sanchez at Race 3 gave National driver Eva Sayll a chance at the Driver's Title, which she won by 5 points from Kira Sanchez, despite winning no races across the season. However, this proved the only time across Sanchez's career that she was beaten purely based off of result - and the only time that she was beaten by someone with an inferior car. Sayll became National's second Driver's Title Champion, and was an influential figure at the team moving forwards.
Season 7
Season 7 was Formula Lego's most controversial yet, with the major Enginegate Scandal the headlining part of the season. National was provided with sub-par engines by Octan, who had developed a radically different concept for their Season 7 entry (The URX Wankel [rotary] Engine). After a lengthy battle in the court of public opinion, the case was brought before the EotLP GP Commission, where National was released from the contract.
Season 8
National focused much of their efforts on the next Technical Regulation set, which would come into effect during Season 9. To that end-goal, very little work was done on the Season 8 car or engine, which ended up just being a very minorly adapted version of their previous year's car (which itself was a barely upgraded version of the Season 6 Octan Chassis and Engine). They fared poorly across the season, scoring only 4 net points, and just a single podium finish. However, hope within the team was very high for the Season 9 entry, for which they believed they had found a near-optimal solution to, which they expected to give them a huge leg up over the competition.
Season 9
National's grand master-plan proved highly successful, and they won their third Driver's Title during Season 9, with Anna Aster beating out Octan's Lily Gasly to the Title, and the team winning two races, and winning their first-ever Constructors' Title by 2 podiums from Octan (with whom they were tied on points and wins). The team felt nothing but vindication for beating Octan - who had actively tried to destroy their competitiveness just 2 years prior. However, there was clearly still a lot to be gained by the team, especially on the operational side of things, where they still struggled.
Season 10
During Season 10 Anna Aster found herself barely unable to win a follow-up Driver's Title, being beaten by 10 points by Julia Young, and 5 points by Camilla Cyne. However, they won a follow-up Constructor's Title, scoring 30 points to Fire's 29. They set a personal best of 3 wins within a season, as well. Going into Season 11, the team felt confident that they could win the Constructor's Title once again, having found ways to extract even more performance from their package, and having a star-line up, including Champions Aster, Sayll, and a highly impressive Cklserolvan Rookie, Aleks Rosya. His signing to the National Rennian team served both as a Diplomatic Demonstration between the EotLP and Cklserolva, but also as a statement of the team's belief in his abilities - having nearly scored a podium at S10 Race 8 for the Quantos team.
Season 11
Rosya proved Jenny Spalding's choice to hire him for Season 11 as a hugely important one, as he battled Octan Rookie Adrienne De Leon for the Driver's Title the whole Season long, before finally sealing the deal by just 5 points from De Leon. National also repeated their Constructors' Title Win once again, bringing them level with Octan in terms of number of Constructors' Titles. The team also developed stronger Race Operation over the season.
Season 12
Winning their final Constructor's Title in Season 12, National once again performed admirably, winning 5 of the 12 races, and supporting Rosya to win his second Driver's Title, this time by 15 points from De Leon. The team's Constructors' Title Win was even more impressive considering that Anna Aster had to sit out 2 races, injured after a nasty crash at Race 5, leaving National with only 2 drivers competing for a portion of the season.
Season 13
National's final year in the sport was also arguably their worst (barring Season 8), finishing 6th out of 10 participating Teams, with their highest finish of the season coming at the very first race, where Defending Title Champion Aleks Rosya finished P6. Having invested heavily in their performance under the 252 Technical Regulations, they fell behind the curve for the new 255 Technical Regulations, and struggled to compete. In addition, the team itself underwent huge changes during the season, as they were extracted from Rennian Government Control and integration, and began forming themselves into a new, independent team, owned by Jenny Spalding. So, rather sadly, and a little anonymously, ended the life of one of Formula Lego's founding teams, and one of their most successful to date - with 5 Driver's titles (between 4 Drivers), and 4 Constructors' Titles.
